An invitation to live with art.
Three artists, rooted in Japanese traditions.
New ways of seeing nature, belief and everyday life.
Traditions carried
into the present.
Gold and mineral colour. The passing seasons. Sacred figures seen through a contemporary imagination. The works gathered here offer three personal encounters with Japan’s visual culture.
Inori means prayer. For the INORI project, it also describes gratitude for living things and the care behind everyday life—a way of bringing art into the home, and the artist closer to the viewer.
Created by NICE+DAY in 2023, INORI introduces Japanese artists and craftspeople to an international audience, placing the people behind the work at its heart.
